Award for Presentations at International Conferences

The Verein für Socialpolitik wants to encourage young economists to present their work at international conferences. For this purpose, the Verein für Socialpolitik grants awards in the amount of 500 € for presentations at international conferences of good standing.

The awards are financed through donations by Deutsche Bundesbank, Österreichische Nationalbank, Österreichische Postsparkasse, and Schweizerische Nationalbank.

Eligibility for the award requires that the applicant occupies a position at a university or a scientific institution in Germany, Austria, or Switzerland, or is working on a dissertation or habilitation at such an institution. Moreover, the applicant has to be a member of the Verein für Socialpolitik that is eligible to pay the reduced membership fee.
