GOSSEN-AWARD

Every year the Verein für Socialpolitik honours an economist from the German language area whose work has gained international reputation.

The purpose of the Gossen Award is to promote the internationalisation of German economic sciences. In the selection of the award winner, publications in respected international journals and the number of citations in the Social Science Citation Index are the key criteria.

The award is endowed with € 10.000 and is named for Hermann Heinrich Gossen. The award winner has to be under the age of 45 at the time of presentation.

The award winner is elected by the executive committee. Suggestions for future candidates can be submitted to the chairman (include the nominee's CV and the list of publications). All members of the Verein are eligible to submit proposals.
